While most tuck into a nice Christmas dinner over the summer off-season, RCK Contractors Rally Team driver Clint Cunningham has been hard at work pounding the pavement to up his performance across the rally season.
Cunningham has covered more than 400km in an intensive training programme to ensure he is in peak condition to take on the best rally drivers in New Zealand.
On top of the new fitness regime, Cunningham has been hard at work chasing the much needed funds to compete at the top level and is happy to welcome Scottish Pacific Finance, Fuchs Lubricants, McFall Fuel and Puma New Zealand to the teams existing family on sponsors, RCK Contractors, MOFAS Mobile First Aid Supplies and TGR Automotive.
Cunningham will again team up with co-driver Greg Ruka in their RCK Contractors Mitsubishi Evo 4, which has been rebuilt over the off-season by their dedicated service crew.
The pair will team up for their first event of the season, the Rally Whangarei on April 11-13 as a part of the Brian Green Property Group New Zealand Rally Championship driven by VINZ.
Following on from that event, the pair will contest the entire Rally Xtreme series with events visiting Hawkes Bay, Wairarapa, Taranaki, Coromandel and the Far North, from June to October, while also mixing in selected rounds of the NZRC.
