THE BOARDERS ARE OPEN AND SO ARE THE ENTRIES!
With the recent announcements from the NZ Government regarding re-opening of our international borders from May, we are pleased to confirm that the 2022 NZ Silver Fern Rally is now full throttle ahead with the planning for the November event. I am off to the South Island this week to put the final touches together for the route that will see the event start and finish in Christchurch at the Addington Raceway & Events Centre. Once we have the complete event confirmed we will be updating the website regularly so please keep an eye on the website for up to date information.
We welcome enquiries from all potential participants, regardless of which part of the world you are based, as we understand that the last few years have been very trying for the motorsport world and look forward to providing you with a wonderful New Zealand rally experience. The NZ government has taken a very cautious approach to the COVID-19 Pandemic which created a lot of uncertainty for event organisers but the light is very strong at the end of this tunnel and we are now prepared and ready for your return.
New Zealand will be hosting a round of the WRC in late September and from my discussions with Phil Gibbs of GT Logistics, shipping arrangements are in full swing, so if you are looking to bring a vehicle from offshore he is now able to give you a clear understanding of costs and time frames.
