Darren Keen and Sarah Faulkner will rejoin the NZRC in Group A again this weekend, but with a last minute car swap.
Round One saw them with a blown turbo causing damage to the motor in the team’s Mitsubishi EVO and they have been unable to get it ready in time for the Christchurch rally.
Zeke King’s WRX was up for sale. It had been Darren’s road car about eight years ago so it was just meant to be. As the car was ready to run there has been minimum work to do to get it ready, which is lucky with only five days to get it ready for this weekend.
Darren said the weekend’s goal is just to get some seat time in the new car.
