The organisers of the Mainland Rally Series are pleased to announce a new naming rights sponsor for the remaining rounds in 2020. Now known as the MA Media Ltd Mainland Rally Series.
MA Media Ltd has been involved in rallying since the company’s founding in 2018. Originating as the videographer for WRC star Hayden Paddon, the business still holds a continuing relationship with Paddon Rallysport. Soon after its inception, MA Media Ltd was picked up by New Zealand Rally Championship contender Matt Summerfield and in 2018, filmed the Mainland Rally Series.
MA Media Ltd have been involved in motorsport coverage for some time now and see this as an opportunity to promote their business in the commercial sector as well. Jack Smith and his team are able to offer a wide range of media exposure for commercial enterprises such as videography to photography and social media advice to control.
Over the company’s short history, owner/operator Jack Smith has worked both domestically and internationally in the sport. Including an active partnership with the Asia Pacific Rally Championship. Smith comments, “For many years now the rally community have supported my passion for videography and in many ways has been a backbone to our success. Drivers, teams and organisers have welcomed the business repetitively, so this is a great opportunity to give back.”
For the 2020 season, MA Media Ltd will provide previews, video highlights and exclusive content to followers of their social media platforms. Beginning at the Catlin’s Coast Rally in Owaka on August 8th, the team will then follow the MA Media Ltd Mainland Rally Series to Timaru for the South Canterbury Rally on September 26th then the final, Lone Star Canterbury Rally, on October 25th. Based at the businesses home, Christchurch.
“A large part of this is giving back, shining a light on some of the drivers we support” Smith said. “Drivers such as my brother (Tim Smith), Ari Pettigrew in his rapid BMW and young talent Harri Judd”
