New car with new look for Jones Motorsport for 2018 season

Jones Motorsport have been busy building a new car which will debut at Rally Otago on April 14.  Although sticking with a Mk2 Escort, the new car, which has been impeccably built by Dickson Motor Sport, is far from the average Escort.  Jones Motorsport have moved away from the Blue Escorts which they have been associated with over the last few years,  and have opted for a very stylish White and Black design with s striking red dragon, in homage to Jonesy’s Welsh roots.

Its powered by a Millington Series II + engine coupled to a Quaife six speed sequential box and has a fully floating rear Atlas axle.  This package packs a serious punch and has some serious power along with oodles of torque.

Tuned by Te Rapa Automotive, the car was performing well right from the get go at today’s test session.  It sounds awesome coming through the stages, and should put on a great show.  Its clear this car is to be taken seriously!

If you want to see this car in action, make sure you head along to Rally Otago on April 14.
