Greeting from the epay Silver Fern Rally 2014,

This is a timely reminder that early-bird entries for the event close in less than 4 weeks (Feb 28th) so now is time to get your entries in for this 1200km special stage adventure in the South Island, New Zealand.

If you’re an overseas driver considering entering and think it might be too far or too difficult, just ask us for references from competitors who have been here in the past and check with us as we can provide details for shipping and handling, accommodation – cars to lease or buy, and we can even find like minded people for service crews etc – just ask just how easy it could be, – we’d love to see you join our adventure down-under.

We also would like to emphasise that you don’t need to have a true Historic Car to join us on the adventure, any two wheel drive (2wd) car that meets the basic rally requirements can join and compete in the full rally in the Challenge event, for all-comers, anything goes 2wd, there is also a class within the Challenge event for modern 2wd cars.

NZ SILVER FERN CHALLENGE RALLY

For two wheel drive vehicles vehicles compliant with the MotorSport New Zealand Schedule A safety regulations

Class E – 0-1300cc
Class F – 1301-1600cc
Class G – 1601-2000cc
Class H – over 2001cc

Class I – For two wheel drive Production cars with a naturally aspirated engine and a maximum engine capacity 2000cc. Modifications permitted as provided for in FIA, Appendix J, Group N regulations.

Note:
A Competitor can only contest one class.

• CC capacity is to be true capacity with allowance for 1.5mm overbore.
• Vehicles driven by overseas competitors must comply with either the relevant FIA safety standards or MotorSport NZ Schedule A.
