NZRC Fantasy Rally League – Rally Gisborne

As the excitement builds heading towards this weekend’s FUCHS Gisborne Rally and the anticipation of the return of the Motu, don’t forget to get your Fantasy Rally entries in.

Please note there are some new entries into the NZRC for this round which may influence your decision!

In NZ Category 1 we have Richard Mason and Sloan Cox, and in NZ Category 5 Matt Jensen and Simon Bell.

Although, as I type this, I believe Richard has just made an announcement that the car won’t be ready in time and therefore he and Sara won’t be at Gisborne.  Richard, Sara and the rest of the team must be totally gutted, especially after the recent effort put in by everyone!

I reckon this will be one of the hardest rallies so far to predict the outcome!

Category 1 – Will Ben Hunt hold onto his lead of the championship, or will Phil Campbell and his consistency give him another win?  Matt Summerfield has had a tough few weeks, but a lot of hard work by a team of dedicated people, see him and Nicole able to start this rally.

Category 4 – Can Andy Martin’s RX3 claw back any points against Klinky’s quick RX7?  Or will Brian Stokes be able to bring his Escort home first this time? [Go the Escort! 😉 ]

Category 5 – I think this will be the hardest of the bunch to predict.  Tyler Radovan has been getting quicker and quicker, with Richard Bateman and Jono Shapley close on his heels.  And the Walker Brothers will be on a mission (they usually are!).  Darren Galbraith has made a huge effort to come North and be part of this event, and he too could be one to look out for based on his performance at the last round.  Jonesy has had a busy time getting a new power plant in his Escort after destroying the last one in Whangarei, and who can forget Justin Glavish and his unreal commitment in the Toyota Starlet?!

Make sure you keep up to date with the action as it happens on the NZRC Livestream http://livestream.com/rallylivenz, and the stage times / results as they happen on www.chrissport.co.nz

Cheers
