At the official opening of the Paddon Rallysport Group headquarters in Cromwell on 5 April 2019, Hayden Paddon announced that Paddon Rallysport is bringing in a Hyundai TCR car. The i30N TCR car is due to land in New Zealand in May and will be used by Paddon at his base at Highlands Motorsport Park in Cromwell, New Zealand for testing, and to continue develop his tarmac driving skills for his international commitments which includes the inaugural six-round season of the Global Rallycross Europe championship.
The team will consider entering the recently announced TCR New Zealand series due to commence in 2020, but that decision is not yet confirmed and will naturally depend on several factors including Paddon’s and the team’s other commitments at that time.
