I know this is off topic, but I think you’ll agree worth posting.
Many of you will know Adam Muir as he’s been involved in rallying for many years. Some of you will know that Adam has faced some health issues lately which has prevented him from competing, and resulted in him selling his rally car.
Adam is suffering with multiple sclerosis (MS), which to be honest, I knew nothing about until I spoke with him at the Possum Bourne Memorial Rally. MS is an incurable disease which affects the central nervous system. Despite that, Adam has got off his ass (not so easy with MS!) and got on with life. I have bumped into him at the PBMR and Wairarapa Rally this year, so he still gets out and enjoys rallying – which is awesome!
The main reason I’m posting this today is to help Adam spread the word about a fundraiser he’s organising to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis Waikato. Being a petrol head, there was really only one way to combine his love of cars and raise some money, and that was to organise a Cruise.
Kawhia Cruise starts as a breakfast at 11 Railside Place, off Rifle Range Road, Frankton at 8am on the 17th November 2013. Then a nice Cruise to Kawhia, with a stop off at the Oparau Road House. ALL makes of car are welcome, and it’s a paper note donation to participate.
I think it would be awesome to think that we could dig deep and help Adam’s Cruise be a roaring success by getting our cool cars (or not so cool cars) out of the shed, and joining Adam for a cruise and good get together. I’m planning on getting my RS2000 out and going along.
If you can’t make it on the day, you’re still able to help Adam by making donations direct to his fundraising account.

Adam, I just love your positive outlook on life and “get off your ass” attitude. I’m looking forward to catching up with you and your family on the 17th November.
Cheers
