Do you love watching one of New Zealand’s best ever rally team drive their vehicle to its absolute maximum (sometimes beyond!)? Do you love seeing them take on International competition and make New Zealand Proud? If so… Richard and Sara need your help and are offering an amazing experience for you and some mates in return.
Their 2015 sponsorship deal has fallen through at the last minute and the Masons need help to secure the funding to compete in the 6 round nationwide series, which this year runs from April to October. “We have been working real hard to find the necessary funds to mount our normal professional campaign,” said Richard, “and we thought we were almost across the line last week, but unfortunately this opportunity has fallen through.
“So now we are urgently seeking help to make contact with anyone who would like to join forces with us as we go for our 6th championship. Sara and I love rallying and hate the thought we could possibly spend the year on the side-lines.”
If you can provide Richard and Sara with a positive, successful lead/introduction to a major sponsor, Richard will give you and three of your mates a high speed ride of your life in the most successful car in the history of the NZRC.
If you have any leads, ideas or opportunities or would like to advertise with us please contact Richard through our Facebook page ‘Richard Mason’ or email richard@richardmason.co.nz as soon as possible.
The Masons have decided to enter the first round of the NZRC in Whangarei on the weekend of 17th-19th of April but currently cannot fund any further events.
Last year was a stellar season as the Masons set a raft of new records in the 40 year history of the New Zealand Rally Championship [NZRC] on their way to a record 5th national title.
Richard extended his record count of NZRC round victories to 28 and Sara has now reached 25, making her the most successful NZRC co-driver ever.
The Masterton Flyers won an unprecedented 5 of the 6 rounds that made up last year’s Brian Green Property Group New Zealand Rally Championship. They also won the series in the fastest ever time – with two rounds to spare and en route to the title they brought up a half century of stage wins – 51 of the 62 they completed.
And the records are not just exclusive to the crew, as their bright yellow Subaru has now become the most successful car in the NZRC with 12 wins.
